Your Acupuncture Appointment

Sage lays the foundation of his acupuncture with remedial massage, special hot stones, therapeutic oils and cupping (if required) with needles specifically placed according to Chinese medical theory derived from an in depth consultation utilising tongue and pulse examination.

For bookings of acupuncture with additional massage or hot stones component these additional services are generally after the needles have been inserted and left for 20 minutes.

Herbal medicine is prescribed after your acupuncture.

Appointments are 45 mins, with every treatment given by Sage in a single treatment room so you won't be left alone in a second room unattended.

Follow-up treatment is usually booked five days after your initial appointment.

Clinical Outcomes

Acute conditions (often external in origin and short in duration) such as recent injury, colds and flu generally require 1-2 treatments to expel the pathogen and treat pain especially when incorporated with herbal medicine or supplements.

Chronic conditions (lasting 12 months or more) often are the result of pre-existing injuries that have not correctly healed or are on-going work-related injuries such as in repetitive strain injury (RSI). Constitutional factors, autoimmune conditions, age, work, stress, diet and lifestyle are important considerations when assessing chronic conditions and require more than one treatment, usually three.
