Your Acupuncture Appointment
Sage lays the foundation of his acupuncture with remedial massage, therapeutic hot stones and cupping (if required) with needles specifically placed according to Chinese medical theory derived from an in depth consultation utilising tongue and pulse examination.
For bookings of acupuncture with additional remedial massage or hot stone therapy component these additional services are generally after the needles have been inserted and left for 20 minutes.
Appointments are 45 mins, with every treatment given by Sage in a single treatment room so you won't be left alone in a second room unattended.
From clinical experience the ideal number of acupuncture treatments to help resolve relative minor medical conditions is three. Protracted conditions that are more chronic (thus complex) in nature usually require additional appointments with an adjunct treatment such as herbal medicine or nutritional supplements. In these cases diet and lifestyle advise is crucial to a successful clinical outcome. Other factors that impact on this clinical outcome are age, duration of condition and your general health and well-being.
Follow-up treatments (if required) are usually weekly if having herbal medicine or spaced three to five days apart with stand-alone acupuncture after your initial appointment.
An adjunct to your acupuncture
Herbal medicine is prescribed with your acupuncture treatment to help resolve your medical condition. With herbal medicine there is no need for a herbal medicine consultation or fee if you are having acupuncture; payment is only for the herbal medicine or supplement. Follow-up herbal medicine is scheduled with your acupuncture.
Bowral Acupuncture uses only the best Australian products from trusted Australian companies MediHerb, Bioceuticals and Eagle. We do not dispense inferior Chinese herbal pill and powder formulations.
Bowral Acupuncture has a comprehensive dispensary that has over 100 different liquid herbal extracts and pill formulations enabling prescriptions to be tailored according to your individual health concerns.
