Passion for traditional Chinese medicine

Sage's Traditional Chinese Medicine began in 1993 under the guidance of master acupuncturist and herbalist Richard Gutwein in Lismore N.S.W. completing an Advanced Diploma of Remedial Massage with qualifications in shiatsu, trigger point therapy, reflexology, remedial massage & tongue and pulse diagnosis.

Sage then completed the highly regarded four year undergraduate Advanced Diploma of Traditional Chinese Medicine in acupuncture, herbal medicine and tuina from the Sydney Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Sydney (SITCM).

Sage's undergraduate study included an extended three month clinical internship at both Nanning and Chengdu university hospitals in China, following China’s best Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners across gynaecology, andrology, oncology, liver department, orthopedics, dermatology, acupuncture and internal medicine. Sage studied under orthopaedics specialist and internationally recognised Professor Wei GuiKang, together with Professor Li Chen, who was head of the gynaecology Department at Nanning TCM hospital.

This China internship was awarded with two Advanced Certificates in traditional Chinese medicine.
